Together with the Templeton-funded group at Oxford and Cambridge, the U. S. Philosophy of Cosmology group is organizing a conference on Tenerife, the largest of Spain's Canary Islands. We will discuss the purpose of philosophy of cosmology, the arrow of time, gravity and the formation of structure, the relationship between cosmology and thermodynamics, string theory and the emergence of spacetime, laws of nature, and quantum foundations.
